The Altiris Client Service (AClient.exe) in Symantec Altiris Deployment Solution 6.8.x before 6.9.164 allows local users to gain privileges via a "Shatter" style attack.

The bug was discovered 03/10/2008. The weakness was published 03/24/2008 by Brett Moore with Insomnia Security (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityresponse.symantec.com.
