Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in AccessCodeStart.asp in Cisco Building Broadband Service Manager (BBSM) Captive Portal 5.3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the msg parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 05/16/2008 by Brad Antoniewicz (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-2165 since 05/13/2008. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
