The downloads manager in Opera before 11.01 on Windows does not properly determine the pathname of the filesystem-viewing application, which allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted web site that hosts an executable file.

The weakness was presented 01/26/2011 by Jordi Chancel (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at jvn.jp. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2011-0450 since 01/14/2011. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.

It is declared as proof-of-concept.
