An unspecified ISAPI extension in VMware Server before 1.0.7 build 108231 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (IIS crash) via a malformed request.
The weakness was presented 09/03/2008 with Juniper Networks (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2008-3697. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
