Adobe Flash Player before 10.3.183.11 and 11.x before 11.1.102.55 on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris and before 11.1.102.59 on Android, and Adobe AIR before 3.1.0.4880, allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via unspecified vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2011-2451, CVE-2011-2452, CVE-2011-2453, CVE-2011-2454, CVE-2011-2455, CVE-2011-2459, and CVE-2011-2460.

The weakness was disclosed 11/11/2011 by Alexander with Kaspersky Lab (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2011-2445 since 06/06/2011. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 03/19/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 74525 (openSUSE Security Update : flash-player (openSUSE-2011-4)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 120893 (Solaris 11 Support Repository Update (SRU) 2/2a Missing).

Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at chrome.google.com. Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
