Fretwell-Downing Informatics (FDI) OLIB7 WebView 2.5.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive information from files via the infile parameter to the default URI under cgi/, as demonstrated by the (1) get_settings.ini, (2) setup.ini, and (3) text.ini files.

The weakness was disclosed 12/18/2008 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-5678 since 12/18/2008. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a single authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
