SQL injection vulnerability in index.cgi in the Account View page in Barracuda Spam Firewall (BSF) before 3.5.12.007 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary SQL commands via a pattern_x parameter in a search_count_equals action, as demonstrated by the pattern_0 parameter.
The bug was discovered 12/15/2008. The weakness was shared 12/19/2008 by Marian Ventuneac as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-1094 since 02/28/2008. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
