Unrestricted file upload vulnerability in saa.php in Andy s PHP Knowledgebase (aphpkb) 0.92.9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by uploading a file with an executable extension, then accessing it via a link that is listed by authors.php.
The weakness was disclosed 03/24/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at sourceforge.net. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2008-6513 since 03/24/2009. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059 for this issue.
A public exploit has been developed by CWH Underground and been published before and not just after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 113 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:saa.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
