A vulnerability has been found in Acutecp Control Panel 1.0.0 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file container.php. The manipulation of the argument theme_directory

Multiple PHP remote file inclusion vulnerabilities in Acute Control Panel 1.0.0 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the theme_directory parameter to (1) container.php and (2) header.php in themes/.
The weakness was disclosed 04/06/2009 by rgod (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2009-1248 since 04/06/2009. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
A public exploit has been developed by SirGod and been published even before and not after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 11 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:container.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
