The bug was discovered 04/14/2009. The weakness was published 04/15/2009 by Esteban Martinez Fayo (iDefense) with Application Security, Inc. (Website). The advisory is shared for download at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability was named CVE-2009-0986 since 03/19/2009. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploitation requires an enhanced level of successful authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
A public exploit has been developed in Python. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
