The weakness was published 03/07/2012 by Cris Neckar (Slawomir Blazek) with Google Chrome Security Team as HT5190 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.apple.com. The public release has been coordinated with Apple. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-0632 since 01/12/2012. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. The pricing for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 03/21/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future.

A private exploit has been developed by Cris Neckar. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
