Application Access Server (A-A-S) 2.0.48 stores (1) passwords and (2) the port keyword in cleartext in aas.ini, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by reading this file.
The bug was discovered 05/11/2009. The weakness was released 05/14/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2009-1466 since 04/28/2009. The exploitation appears to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
