Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the JA_Purity template for Joomla! 1.5.x through 1.5.10 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.

The bug was discovered 04/05/2009. The weakness was published 06/03/2009 by Juan Galiana Lara (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2009-1939 since 06/05/2009. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

The exploit is available at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 58 days.
