Stack-based buffer overflow in manager.exe in Akamai Download Manager (aka DLM or dlmanager) before 2.2.4.8 allows remote web servers to execute arbitrary code via a malformed HTTP response during a Redswoosh download, a different vulnerability than CVE-2007-1891 and CVE-2007-1892.

The weakness was shared 07/23/2009 by iDefense Labs with iDEFENSE Labs (Website). The advisory is available at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-2582 since 07/23/2009. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
