A vulnerability was found in RealNetworks RealPlayer (Multimedia Player Software). It has been classified as critical. mp4fformat.dll in the QuickTime File Format plugin in RealNetworks RealPlayer 15 and earlier, and RealPlayer SP 1.1.4 Build 12.0.0.756 and earlier, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted MP4 file.

The weakness was disclosed 03/24/2012 by Senator of Pirates as File 111162/Rea (Packetstorm) via Exploit-DB. It is possible to read the advisory at packetstormsecurity.org.
