A vulnerability was found in CubeCart (E-Commerce Management Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown functionality of the file includes/content/viewProd.inc.php. The manipulation of the argument productId with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in includes/content/viewProd.inc.php in CubeCart before 4.3.7 remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the productId parameter.

The weakness was disclosed 11/19/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-4060 since 11/23/2009. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:includes/content/viewProd.inc.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 42878 (CubeCart includes/content/viewProd.inc.php productId Parameter SQL Injection), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family CGI abuses. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 12315 (CubeCart productId Parameter SQL Injection Vulnerability).

Upgrading to version 3.0.3 eliminates this vulnerability.
