A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Simplog 0.9.3.2. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the file user.php of the component Change Password. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in user.php in Simplog 0.9.3.2, and possibly earlier, allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators and users for requests that change passwords.
The bug was discovered 11/03/2009. The weakness was presented 11/16/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-4092 since 11/27/2009. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
