Argument injection vulnerability in the sendmail implementation of the Mail::Send method (Mail/sendmail.php) in the Mail package 1.1.14 for PEAR allows remote attackers to read and write arbitrary files via a crafted $from parameter, a different vector than CVE-2009-4111.
The weakness was disclosed 11/29/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2009-4023. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
