The weakness was released 02/10/2010 with Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2010-0033 since 12/14/2009. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 09/02/2021).

A public exploit has been developed in Ruby. The exploit is shared for download at securityfocus.com. It is declared as highly functional. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k.
