A vulnerability has been found in Dynamicsoft WSC CMS 2.2 (Content Management System) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file backoffice/login.asp of the component Login. The manipulation of the argument Password with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in backoffice/login.asp in Dynamicsoft WSC CMS 2.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the Password parameter. NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information.

The weakness was disclosed 02/22/2010 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2010-0698 since 02/23/2010. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

By approaching the search of inurl:backoffice/login.asp it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.

It is possible to mitigate the problem by adding an authentication mechanism.
