Directory traversal vulnerability in misc/tell_a_friend/tell.php in phpunity.newsmanager allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the id parameter.

The weakness was presented 01/30/2010 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-0799 since 03/02/2010. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
