Buffer overflow in Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.x before 9.3.2, and 8.x before 8.2.2 on Windows and Mac OS X, allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2010-0198, CVE-2010-0199, and CVE-2010-0202.
The weakness was released 04/14/2010 by Billy Rios (TippingPoint) with Oulu University Secure Programming Group (Website). The advisory is available at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-0203 since 01/05/2010. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

Upgrading to version 9.0 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published even before and not after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 9708.
