with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. Directory traversal vulnerability in the MMS Blog (com_mmsblog) component 2.3.0 for Joomla! allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and possibly have unspecified other impact via a .. (dot dot) in the controller parameter to index.php.
The weakness was published 04/21/2010 by AntiSecurity with isec (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at exploit-db.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2010-1491 since 04/23/2010. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
