The weakness was disclosed 05/08/2012 by Luigi Auriemma (iDefense) with iDefense Labs as MS12-031 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website) via Microsoft. The advisory is shared for download at technet.microsoft.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-0018 since 11/09/2011. The attack needs to be approached locally. A authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.
