The SPICE (aka spice-xpi) plug-in 2.2 for Firefox allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on an unspecified log file.

The weakness was shared 08/25/2010 by Petr Matousek as Bug 620356 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.redhat.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2010-2794 since 07/22/2010. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
