The weakness was disclosed 09/20/2010 by Alex (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.opensuse.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2010-2080 since 05/26/2010. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is needed for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 75701 (openSUSE Security Update : otrs (openSUSE-SU-2010:1061-1)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks.

Upgrading to version 2.3.5 eliminates this vulnerability.
