The extended-community parser in bgpd in Quagga before 0.99.18 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and application crash) via a malformed Extended Communities attribute.
The weakness was released 03/21/2011 with Debian as Bug 654603 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2010-1674. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
