Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in fetchmailprefs.php in Horde IMP before 4.3.8, and Horde Groupware Webmail Edition before 1.2.7, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the fm_id parameter in a fetchmail_prefs_save action, related to the Fetchmail configuration.
The weakness was presented 03/31/2011 by Moritz Naumann as Bug 641069 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2010-3695. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
The exploit is shared for download at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:fetchmailprefs.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. Upgrading to version 4.3 eliminates this vulnerability.
