This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-3130 since 06/06/2012. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 120903 (Solaris 11 Support Repository Update (SRU) 7.5 Missing).
