Integer overflow in the Shockwave 3D Asset x32 component in Adobe Shockwave Player before 11.6.0.626 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted subrecord in a DEMX chunk, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.

The weakness was published 06/16/2011 by Luigi Auriemma (TippingPoint) with TippingPoint's Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is available at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability was named CVE-2011-2123 since 05/13/2011. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
