The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 61721 (CentOS 5 / 6 : firefox (CESA-2012:1210)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 120453 (Red Hat Update for Xulrunner Firefox (RHSA-2012:1210)).
