Off-by-one error in the CSoundFile::ReadDSM function in src/load_dms.cpp in libmodplug before 0.8.8.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted DSM file with a large number of samples.
The weakness was released 06/07/2012 by Hossein Lotfi (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at openwall.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2011-2914 since 07/27/2011. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.

It is assigned to the family CentOS Local Security Checks and running in the context l. Upgrading to version 0.8.8 eliminates this vulnerability.
