A vulnerability was found in TikiWiki (Content Management System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function unserialize
in the library lib/banners/bannerlib.php. The manipulation of the argument sendarticles
with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-94. The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
TikiWiki CMS/Groupware before 6.7 LTS and before 8.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a crafted serialized object in the (1) cookieName to lib/banners/bannerlib.php; (2) printpages or (3) printstructures parameter to (a) tiki-print_multi_pages.php or (b) tiki-print_pages.php; or (4) sendpages, (5) sendstructures, or (6) sendarticles parameter to tiki-send_objects.php, which is not properly handled when processed by the unserialize function.
