Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in BMC Service Desk Express (SDE) 10.2.1.95 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) SelTab parameter to QV_admin.aspx, the (2) CallBack parameter to QV_grid.aspx, or the (3) HelpPage parameter to commonhelp.aspx.
The weakness was released 07/29/2013 by Nuri Fattah (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-4946 since 07/29/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
A public exploit has been developed by Nuri Fattah and been published even before and not after the advisory. The exploit is available at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 16 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:QV_admin.aspx it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
