The weakness was released 09/19/2012 by Martin Barbella (Skylined) with Google Chrome Security Team as APPLE-SA-2012-09-19-1 as confirmed posting (Website). The advisory is available at prod.lists.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-3647 since 06/19/2012. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 04/14/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future.
