The user-password-update command in python-keystoneclient before 0.2.4 accepts the new password in the --password argument, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by listing the process.

The weakness was presented 10/01/2013 (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at openwall.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-2013 since 02/19/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
