SQL injection vulnerability in Quassel IRC before 0.9.1, when Qt 4.8.5 or later and PostgreSQL 8.2 or later are used, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via a \ (backslash) in a message.

The weakness was released 10/23/2013 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-4422 since 06/12/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. It is assigned to the family FreeBSD Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 167832 (OpenSuSE Security Update for quassel (openSUSE-SU-2015:0933-1)).

Upgrading to version 0.1.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
