Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Rich Text Editor in Movable Type 5.0x, 5.1x before 5.161, 5.2.x before 5.2.9, and 6.0.x before 6.0.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.

The weakness was released 01/10/2014 (Website). The advisory is available at seclists.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-0977 since 01/07/2014. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

Upgrading to version 5.031 eliminates this vulnerability.
