CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

The (1) extract_keys_from_pdf and (2) fill_pdf functions in pdf_ext.py in logilab-commons before 0.61.0 allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files and possibly have other unspecified impact via a symlink attack on /tmp/toto.fdf.

The weakness was disclosed 03/11/2014 by Jakub Wilk (Website). The advisory is available at bugs.debian.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-1838 since 02/02/2014. Local access is required to approach this attack. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 75271 (openSUSE Security Update : python-logilab-common (openSUSE-SU-2014:0306-1)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 122006 (Solaris 11.1 Support Repository Update (SRU) 18.5.0 Missing).

Upgrading to version 13.1 eliminates this vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at Tenable (75271), SecurityFocus (BID 65253†), Secunia (SA57209†) and Vulnerability Center (SBV-43809†). The entries VDB-7237, VDB-7238, VDB-9747 and VDB-34383 are pretty similar.
