The Sandbox Profiles implementation in Apple iOS before 8 does not properly restrict the third-party app sandbox profile, which allows attackers to obtain sensitive Apple ID information via a crafted app.
The weakness was disclosed 09/17/2014 by Andreas Kurtz (evad3rs) with Binamuse VRT as HT6441 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-4362 since 06/20/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
