A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Mozilla Firefox 30.0/31.0/31.1.0/32.0 (Web Browser). Affected is an unknown code block of the component WebRTC. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2014-1585 since 01/16/2014. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 78563 (Debian DSA-3050-1 : iceweasel - security update), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Debian Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 167976 (OpenSuSE Security Update for Mozilla (Firefox/Thunderbird) updates to 31.8.0 (openSUSE-SU-2015:1266-1)).
Upgrading to version 33 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
