Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in the cssgen contrib module in GeSHi before 1.0.8.11 allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the (1) geshi-path or (2) geshi-lang-path parameter.
The weakness was released 06/13/2014 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at sourceforge.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-3521 since 06/14/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
