Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in single_pages\download_file.php in concrete5 before 5.6.3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the HTTP Referer header to index.php/download_file.

The weakness was disclosed 07/28/2014 by Osanda Malith (Website). The advisory is shared for download at concrete5.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-5108 since 07/28/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.

By approaching the search of inurl:single_pages\download_file.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 13014 (concrete5 Cross-Site Scripting and Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities).

Upgrading to version 5.6.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
