BEA WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express 8.1 through 8.1 SP2 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (network port comsumption) via unknown actions in HTTPS sessions, which prevents the server from releasing the network port when the session ends.

The bug was discovered 06/14/2004. The weakness was shared 06/14/2004 with BEA Systems, Inc. (Website). The advisory is available at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2004-2424 since 08/18/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1499 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
