Integer overflow in the MallocFrameBuffer function in vncviewer.c in LibVNCServer 0.9.9 and earlier allows remote VNC servers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via an advertisement for a large screen size, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
The weakness was published 09/30/2014 by Nicolas Ruff as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). It is possible to read the advisory at ocert.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-6051 since 09/01/2014. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.

It is assigned to the family Debian Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 168339 (SUSE Enterprise Linux Security update for LibVNCServer (SUSE-SU-2015:2088-2)).
