backup.php in PHPCompta/NOALYSS before 6.7.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the d parameter.

The weakness was disclosed 10/06/2014 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-6389 since 09/12/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.

A public exploit has been developed by Portcullis and been published even before and not after the advisory. The exploit is available at It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 4 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:backup.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.

Upgrading to version 6.7.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
