A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in OSClass up to 3.4.1. Affected by this issue is the function Search::setJsonAlert. The manipulation of the argument alert with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in the Search::setJsonAlert method in OSClass before 3.4.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the alert parameter in a search alert subscription action.

The weakness was released 01/05/2015 by Egidio Romano (Website). The advisory is shared for download at blog.osclass.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-8083 since 10/09/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

Upgrading to version 3.4.2 eliminates this vulnerability.
