The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 185104 (HP-UX Running OpenSSL Remote Denial of Service Vulnerability (HPSBUX03334)).

Upgrading to version 0.9.8zf, 1.0.0r, 1.0.1m or 1.0.2a eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
