The weakness was released 04/10/2015 by Stuart Ryan (Paul) with TaiG Jailbreak Team (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-1087 since 01/16/2015. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1006 for this issue.
Upgrading to version 8.3 eliminates this vulnerability.
