A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Microsoft Word, Word Viewer and Office Compatibility Pack (Word Processing Software) (affected version not known). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Document Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a use after free vulnerability. Use-after-free vulnerability in Microsoft Word 2007 SP3, Word Viewer, and Office Compatibility Pack SP3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Office document, aka "Microsoft Office Component Use After Free Vulnerability."
The weakness was released 04/14/2015 by Ben Hawkes with Google Project Zero as MS15-033 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at technet.microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-1651 since 02/17/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
